Creative Visualisation

Creative Visualisation is one of the key foundations on which so many self help techniques are built and is one of the essential skills you should develop in order to effectively access your InfiniteMind and reach your potential.

Some of the other techniques which use creative visualization include the Silva Method, the Release Technique, Image Streaming, hypnotherapy, affirmations and many others. It is also the key point that the Law of Attraction is based on.

In fact, creative visualization is also used by many top athletes and sportsmen to allow them to push themselves beyond their normal game and achieve outstanding performance.

Creative Visualisation has been around for a long time, and features heavily in Eastern philosophies and religious teachings. The philosophy behind the practice is one of "We become what we think about."
What is Creative Visualization?

Creative visualization is essentially just a mental practice that uses your imagination to manifest what you want in your life.

Simply put, you use your imagination to create a clear image or idea of something that you wish to experience in your life. Then you continue to focus on the image or idea regularly, this idea integrates into your subconscious mind and becomes part of your belief system or world view, and you natural begin to notice and seek out opportunities relevant to your focused image that previously you would have missed.

Ever noticed how your seem to be surrounded by adverts for food when you feel hungry, it’s the same principle. The only difference is that where as your hunger arises naturally from your subconscious mind, with creative visualisation you are first implanting the idea into your own subconscious.

And so given time the focused idea becomes a reality, or in other words, you actually manifest or achieve your goals.

What do you mean by "Visualize"?

It’s worth mentioning, don't get too hung up over the word "visualize". Not everybody is able to see very sharp, clear images when they close their eyes and imagine things. Others feel or sense things. Some others just have an idea, or conception about things.

All of these are perfectly fine. While most people are visually-oriented so the world visualize is most often used, some are auditory-oriented (meaning that they perceive the world mainly through hearing) and others are kinaesthetic (they feel things more).

When you visualize about something, it's not necessary to 'see' it. You may feel or even hear things. It doesn't matter.

What's important is that you're able to imagine it clearly in your mind, whichever way is most comfortable and familiar to you.

As with any skill with practice you will get better at it, and in fact, the closer you're able to imagine things the way you would experience it in the physical world, the more effective your creative visualization will be for you. So to make the technique more effective try to involve as many senses as possible.
